Wills, Trusts and Tax

We can help you and your other half make your will, so you can prescribe what is to happen to your assets on your death.  Our advice covers the rights of others to make a claim against your estate, and how best to avoid their claims.  If the value of your estate is likely to be more than £312,000 on your death, we address inheritance tax planning issues.

We advise on all sorts of lifetime and will trusts which enable you to shift ownership of property, in many cases tax efficiently, to achieve your objectives.

Many clients like to have enduring powers of attorney which enable a trusted appointee to manage their affairs, if and only when they become physically or mentally incapable of doing so themselves.  It can happen to young and old alike – for example, as a result of injuries in a road accident.  Couples usually appoint the other to act in their place but are not bound to do so.

Getting a cheap Will makes no sense at all. Why risk everything you have worked for your whole life? At Howell-Jones solicitors we believe you should think carefully about just why some Wills are so cheap, because on the Internet - just like everywhere else - you get what you pay for.

Our clients say...

We want to thank you sincerely for your superb handling of this matter, and are happy it has all gone through smoothly. I feel with things of this nature it is always best to let the professionals deal with it, and I can say you saved me an enormous amount of time and worry. "
